Providing water to industrial enterprises is one of the important production tasks. In the vast majority of industries, water is used in technological processes of production. Requirements for the quantity and quality of water supplied are determined by the nature of the process. The fulfillment of these requirements by the water supply system ensures the normal operation of the enterprise and the proper quality of its products. The unsatisfactory performance of water supply systems can lead not only to deterioration of product quality or increase in the cost of production, but also in some cases to equipment damage and even to dangerous accidents. In addition to water for technological needs, each company requires water for household and drinking needs of workers and employees, as well as for fire fighting purposes.

Industrial production uses water in the process of washing raw materials or equipment, as well as in technological processes of obtaining finished products. Industrial wastewater is ultimately very specific and often forms complex multi-component mixtures that are difficult to remove and often interfere with each other when they are removed from the effluent. These are animal and vegetable fats and oils, fibers of meat tissue, blood, syrups, brines, dyes, flavor enhancers, preservatives, and much more. Purification of industrial wastewater to the standards is carried out by selecting the optimal treatment technology, the choice of highly efficient engineering environmental equipment, filter elements and chemical reagents based on the results of qualitative analysis of the effluent generated at the enterprise.

Environmental requirements for discharged sewage are tightened every year at the initiative of the Government of the country. However, many enterprises continue to ignore such restrictions: they conduct poor-quality water purification, or do not do it in principle. During the operation of any industrial enterprise, wastewater is generated, which requires special treatment before being discharged into sewer systems.

 The wastewater of any industrial enterprise contains specific pollution that must be removed (neutralized) before mixing with the wastewater of another production or settlement. Numerous experience of advanced countries indicates the possibility of implementing drainage systems by reusing treated wastewater. Reuse of treated wastewater in the industrial water supply system fully depends on the specific local conditions, the technologies used and is mainly determined by its feasibility and expediency. 

Many large enterprises have factory wastewater treatment plants that have facilities for mechanical, physico-chemical and biological treatment. However, for the most part, such systems are significantly outdated. In such a situation, water with a high content of phosphorus, nitrogen, bacteria and other organic matter gets into the water bodies, which leads to environmental degradation of a particular region. Industrial water purification along with the water treatment process is a very complex and time-consuming measure due to the poor quality of water resources in most regions of the country. 

The introduction of water recycling systems reduces the amount of wastewater discharged and reduces the need for fresh water, which gives a great economic and environmental effect. This system of the enterprise eliminates the ingress of industrial wastewater into water bodies or sewage systems. And it allows to solve the most important environmental and economic tasks: significantly reduce water consumption of an industrial enterprise, reduce the loss of valuable components with wastewater, avoid charges for water disposal and exceed the maximum permissible concentrations - the proposed process water treatment systems allow reusing it in the process cycle.
